A Favorite Poem
“When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.
When I say. "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow.”

Always beautiful and poignant.
True , true. She really is amazing.
That is an awesome poem! It really made me sad when i read Demi Moore thought she was uncapable of being loved and to know there are so many people who don't know and may never know the truth.
Bean ya, that is SO sad. I haven't followed what's happening there but I she is one beautiful lady. Hollywood is a bitch to those that don't have a good foundation!
anyone really who doesnt have a Jesus, well then life is a bitch!
Pretty much.
Beautiful poem it is true. A Christain is a person who attempts to practice the teaching of Jesus. A person who recognises Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.Practice makes perfect and life is full of practicing. The Lord knew we would never be without sin and unperfection so He made it easy for us by making it hard foe Himself,(The Cross) and the the resurrection to show us the truth the there is life after death. Thanking You Jesus forever .Guess I got preaching here but its in my heart and on my soul forever.
Mom thank you for sharing your faith with us. Without your faith we might not have ours. I love you.
