Well around 4:30p today as my second shift of the day began, and I was switching gears from laundry, dishes, menus, dogs, etc... to my Fab 4 kids coming home from school, I decided that unless I got some caffeine into my blood stream I was going to check out right then and there.
I headed to the grocery store. I grabbed the little tin can against my better judgement, and I was almost finished drinking it before the clerk had even finished ringing me up.
Here's where I would like to explain something. I don't usually drink these energy drinks. Occasionally I will take a sip from My Giant's, but never, have I ever purchased one for myself.
I can now see why they are so popular.
Not only did I finish my day by doing some more grocery shopping, cooking dinner for my family, taking Chloe to Hip Hop class, cleaning up dinner when I got home, read several chapters in my book, planned the meals for the whole month of January on my new favorite website plantoeat.com, watched some boob tube with hubby and cousins, BUT now here I sit and can actually write a little blurb about my Red Bull experience that hopefully makes some sense.
Sidenote- Could you imagine the Proverbs 31 woman on Red Bull?
I will let you know tomorrow if I will be trying my luck again with this legal stimulant. The key factor will be if I ever fall asleep tonight.

High Lights and Low Lights
In our family almost every night we have what's called "high light and low light" time. This is where we share what was the high light of our days and what was the low point in our days. SO here you have our high light and low lights of the Scofield's Spring Break 2010

Some high lights from our Spring Break-
My mom and sister Jenny finally getting to come see where I have been living these past several months.
Surprise visit from Dan and daughter Shane( who like a typical princess Shane left her fuzzy pink slipper behind)
Mom and Dad's renewal of vows in celebration of their 40 years of marriage.
Watching Brother Jeremy in the Wizard of Oz performance.
My niece Savannah calling Uncle Moses "Your Prince"
Two Easter egg hunts for the kids: One organized and carried out by sister Gina despite the Tornado like winds and the other by New friends in Seattle in Ms Sue's backyard.

Snow in Carson City.
Playing, Talking, Visiting with all friends and family in Reno, Sparks, and Carson City.
Seeing the Gore family not once but twice in the span of one week.

Some Low Lights from our Spring Break
Having to leave Moses behind to work and slave away at a job that doesn't deserve him.
Driving through the snow to get back home.
When my niece Savy started to cry when we drove away, dagger through my heart !!
Coming home to 20 plus loads of laundry.
Having to say good bye. I don't like good bye's.

I Blog because I Can
-I don't have much to write about, but still I want to write something because I CAN ! It feels so good to be done with school for now. The weight has lifted at least for now and it feels amazing. Also the class I have been dreading, procrastinating to even take, and ulcered my way through I actually got a "B" in. A "B" people!!
Math is a dream stealer for me. IT has robbed me beyond measure. Kept me from accomplishing much more in life than I care to mention. It will not win though!! I am bigger than Math.
-Kids are awesome. I love them more than words can express. It is the end of an era that I will no longer have children under 5 in this house and I have to say I have been having some strange newborn cravings. Crazy, I know but still they are there. It is a good thing I have some friends who are having newborns that I will soon get to snuggle.
-My husband has a funny alter ego called Meisha. He's from Russia. His accent can pull me out of just about anything and that is just one more thing that I love about this man named Moses.
-My dogs although crazy and neurotic are the cutest dogs ever! What they bring to me that I will never know but I do love them.
-People are funny, I being one of them. For the rest of my life I will forever be in awe of humanity. People are strong beyond measure. People are good and dynamic and so very interesting. If I didn't love children as much I would head down the road of studying and helping grown-up people. Children become grown- up people so that is where I will remain.
-Now, I have no more random thoughts except this, I did not want to title this blog random thoughts one more time.
I love you all and good night!

Checking In with some Random Thoughts
-I am almost finished with this semester of school and I have to say that I am so ready to be done. Not that you didn't already know that but just in case you didn't I thought I would let you know.
*Total Random note for the day- We have doves. They make strange noises but I kinda like the sound that comes from them at all hours of the day.
Okay back to school, I have decided to finish out the rest of my classes online except the one Math class that I need to graduate. Online works so well for me and is so easy. I also realized this semester that when I am in school I am not as focused here at home as I would like to be, that combined with working again is not a good combo for me. So as much as I would like to take a bunch of classes in the next few semester and be done..... I am not going to.
For the sake of my family I think this is a wise choice. I don't want to look back on this time when I could be playing with my kids and regret the time I was on the computer getting a piece of paper I can hang on a wall and that's about all it will change. I have made a decision about this degree thing. I think it's funny how since I graduated high school I have been taking classes. Some I have really enjoyed and have learned a lot from and some I could have done with out but all these classes and I still don't have what they think is a degree in Early Childhood Education. Come ON PEOPLE!!
-On to another topic that has really been intriguing me lately. Men and Women, are we really that different or is it more our personalities that are so different in life? As I am watching my kids grow I am realizing that some of these things we deem man vs. woman differences really just are personality differences. It's interesting to me and I would like to investigate it further.
I was thinking about when Mo and I first got married we were reading through a book, Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus. I bought that book hook, line, and sinker. Now after having been married and with my hubby for coming on 14 years and 15 years together, I think I would like to take a second look at it.
- I can't wait to do two summertime things. Camp and read for pleasure. I am so looking forward to reading some great books that have been sitting on my self just calling my name and I think I start my book review again just for my own fun and entertainment.
-Finally there are some really entertaining things going on in my neighborhood these days.
Aside from the burners who are generally low key and mellow now, the Adult group home that is literally just a few houses down has provided for some recent entertainment and has been quite interesting. They go out for a walk at least 4 to 5 times a day. The patients don't talk to strangers or so much as make eye contact and a while back one of them asked me for a ride. I gave her one. She just stared at me the whole time. I think I might blog more about this later. We have a dog that comes and literally loves to get my dogs in a big tizzy. We have construction from every angle keeping me from parking in my driveway most days. Houses selling for less than dirt. Neighborhoods are interesting, don't ya think?
And now....I should be getting back to finishing up this semester.

Some late night thoughts
Tonight while watching Miami Ink there was a guy on there who was getting a tattoo to commemorate his Olympic experience in Athens Greece 4 years ago. He is a juno fighter and had worked very hard to make it to the Olympics. He said the population of people who ever make it to the Olympics is very slim and likened to those who go on to get their Ph.D's, something like 2% of the worlds population.
What I found so incredibly sad was that he said that his flight home from Athens to the States was probably one of the saddest times in his life. Coming home wishing that he could have fought the fight over again made me think about the metaphor of life like that of a fight that we only get one chance to come up against.
It also made me think of this fight we have in faith. I want to be one who at the end will be able to say, I fought the good fight, I finished the race.
In my life there has been time wasted much like any life I am sure, but I have to remind myself that there is also so much time that has been given to me that I have not wasted.
I have moments when I want to get up from even typing this blog and get doing other things but you can only do so much. I have to remember that it is okay. Even the moments that I feel were wasted, have a Redeemer. For that I am thankful. Eternally grateful for the Redeemer who makes all things new and gives fresh perspective when needed.

Some end of this week thoughts
Here it is Friday of the first week of Moses' new job. He works normal hours now, 8-5p Mon-Friday and so far so good.
- I need to share a funny story about Isaiah this week, we are taking a little detour from the blog here so stay with me-
When we were driving to the mall this week we passed where Mo's new job is and I pointed out to the kids that that is where daddy works now. No one really said anything but by the time we got to the mall I noticed that Isaiah was really quiet. I said, "What's wrong Isaiah?" At which point he started literally balling his eyes out and saying, " I don't want daddy to work there, I want daddy to work at the church" over and over again. Right about the time I was starting to feel really like crying myself he says, "I want daddy to work at the church so I can get candy, now I can't get candy" Sheesh, what a relief !! I thought we were going to have to take our 4 year old to therapy just cause daddy changed jobs.
So back to the topic at hand- This week has been pretty uneventful and normal for the most part, what has not been normal about this week is that almost every evening Moses has been tattooing. Since last Saturday he has done 8 tattoos and there are still more to come. We will hit his 11th tattoo tonight and then have 2 more planned for Saturday. There is a new shop in town that opened July 1st that is looking for an artist and these guys seem pretty legit so if all works out he will be doing the Design company by day and tattooing by night. Needless to say, it has been an interesting week.
I have yet to succeed in the whole back to school schedule but come Monday we are kicking it in to high gear around here and seriously going back to all of it, chores, schedules, reading at bedtimes all that good stuff. I mean it!! No kidding!! I am trying to convince myself here can you tell?
I have enjoyed this summer but I have also realized something about myself. If left to my own devices I turn into the biggest slacker of all time. I am serious there where times I was so in slack mode I think Moses was going to take my pulse to see if I was still alive. :) I realize for those of you who go 24/7 and have to remind yourself to take a day off to do nothing this doesn't seem possible but trust me it is. I really do not have the problem of needing to slow down it's speeding up that would be my problem. I have realized that I have absolutely no problem doing nothing all week. Not a problem. It is kinda scary how lax I can become if there is no else around to motivate me to get out and get going.
So to those of you have been my motivators over the years I say thank you , thank you very much. To my husband who has so many projects going right now that he doesn't know where to begin I say , we make a good team. He keeps me going and I keep him focused.
I would also like to say thank you to everyone who has been praying for job situations for us and provision and stuff like that. Your prayers are appreciated and have been answered. God is good and so are His people. So thank you.
One final note before the weekend if you have nothing else going on this weekend we will be tattooing both Friday and Saturday night for any looky loos out there you are welcome to stop by. Have a great weekend everyone.

At a Loss for words (if you can believe that)
So, I have absolutely nothing to blog about but I really want to blog. I thought about blogging about the last book I just finished, You and Your Child by Charles Swindoll . A very good book but not enough to fill a whole blog topic. Then thought I might add a funny one about the event that took place in our home tonight but others might not find it all that funny. Thought about doing some rebutle blogs to other blogs but I just don't have the energy or thoughts to convey those correctly. So, here I am wanting to talk about something but not really having all that much to say right now. I am however enjoying immensely the topics that have been brought up by everyone else in our blogging community and with that I will say goodnight.
