A Little Piece of Happy on A Rainy Day

My sister left yesterday morning and she took with her the sun. It turned cold, and dark, and I started to feel gloomy even on the inside so I went for a walk. In the rain. While I was walking my hood, with my hoodie up I saw this beauty staring up at me and although it was in someone else's yard, I ran right up to it and got my close up. Hey, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to get a close up nature photo every now and then. I so wish that I had a fancy pants camera on me at the time, but my handy dandy Iphone took this and I think it really turned out nice. What do you think?

This flower reminds me of the amazing, creative, God that I serve and it makes me happy on the inside.
It was like God knew I needed a little piece of happy on a rainy day. And maybe that's you today. Maybe you need a little piece of happy on a rainy day. 
Maybe you need that piece of happy on a sunny day.

So I hope it does the same for you.

Tangled Christmas tree lights. Lol! I actually volunteer every Christmas to do the lights because everyone else gets so frustrated and loses their temper.

The lost luggage would freak me out, I confess. But the rain... oh, please bring it on. I'm fearing another drought is on it's way, so I'm enjoying our flowers while we still have them. (And in the process stopping Abby from 'making friends' with that one wasp I keep seeing in our backyard).

Maya Angelou is seriously awesome - so wise. A pretty good person to aspire to be.
And that's an awesome pic for your iPhone to have taken. Glad you were able to find that little bit of color in the gray!
