This is a tribute to all the good moms out there. Today was the first day back at the small group "Mommy and Me" and I must say that yet again I am amazed by mothers. What is required of us, what we are capable of , and what we really stand for amazes me. I really believe that most moms don't even realize how amazing they are and how appreciated they should be, so here I am in a sense just tooting my own horn, but also giving a very big shout out to all the great moms who work day in and day out to make the world a better place. It has been said that this is the hardest job on earth and I must say that the only other job that it parallels for this title is that of being a Father. My own mom always says that "Parenting aint for cowards" and boy, is she right about that. You cannot last a minute in this vocation in life if you are weak willed and cowardly.
So, if you are reading this and you are a mom just know that someone else out there knows what a hard worker you are and what a completely unselfish, special, amazing person it takes to be a "Mom". Good Job, Well done, and know that all the unseen, behind the scenes work that you do is really not unseen at all. There is someone who sees EVERY mess you clean up, EVERY tear that you wipe dry, EVERY diaper you change, and HE thanks you too.

I think mom got that from the title of the book she and dad read by Dobson....I guess we turned out alright. Ha ha.
Today I was holding little Silas (a 2 month old newborn). I took him from his mama when he was getting fussy because I wanted her to have a break. I think about that all the time....that parenting isn't for cowards. Anyways, He was so peaceful with me...It happened two days in a row!
Truth is, I would love to be a mom. I'd love to be married, for God's sake! Do you think He reads your blogs because if he does, well then, God, if you're out there, I just want to remind you that you said you'd give us the desires of our hearts!!
I think it's so amazing that you're doing this group. Love it. I really really love it.....
Have you heard of child prodigy Akiane Kramarik? I put her on my space so you could see this CNN interview. The child is amazing and so God inspired....wow.
Also, have you heard of the writing community called Ubis.com? It's kind of fun...OK, gotta go. It's 9 pm and I've been foolin around. Still have to plan four of the six lessons for tomorrow.
that's really encouraging noel. i am glad that i stumbled upon your entry. i have been thinking alot about what i should really be doing in my life right now. God has been telling me, even before i got married, that being a mommy is what i am called to be, even though i was trying my hardest to do what others wanted me to be doing. society totally plays down the role of being a mother thanks to the awesome minds of the feminist movement. i really do appriciate your words. they mean alot to me and really do confirm in my heart what God wants me to be doing with my life. your a real inspiration. =o)
I'm not a mom, but I'm a husband who is unbelievably grateful for Mindy. She's stayed home with the girls from the beginning and much of my girls' health (emotional/physical) is due to Mindy's nurture and love.
God bless all you dedicated moms.
