My S.O.S.

I am completely swamped with school, work, and not to mention the life I had before all this business of getting a job and going back to school began. How do people do this seriously? Oh yeah that's right they don't have a social life. Well, sorry life is just too short and there are some things I am not willing got give up and my social life is one of them. What is life for if not for the social aspect of it ? But, this is what happens when you don't give that up,Every time I sit down I go into what I like to call a coma-like slumber, drool and all. My refigerator has never looked so barren cause I just don't have time to make a big grocery store trip, my back yard looks like a bomb went off because no one is even aware in this family that we have a back yard, let's not even get into the laundry situation going on around here. So this would be what's known as an SOS , HELP!! I feel as though I am drowning and there is no life vest in sight.

Hey what does SOS stand for??

Oh Noel... I soooooo feel your pain right now. You just described EXACTLY how I have been feeling. I try really hard to schedule my time and I am getting TONS of help from Jay. I just make sure the laundry and dishes are done and there is at least frozen food in the fridge, everything else can wait:) One of my professors last week was talking about how serious students should have no social life. period. School should be their life. Well, I know that Jesus is about relationships, and if I keep things in relative balance, He will help me out, and so far, He has, but I have been begging him daily for help:) I am doing a little less socially, but I refuse to cut it out completely.
We can talk later:) Sorry for hogging your blog. I just think its funny how much our lives are paralleling right now:)

Although in times like you're having right now, SOS might be more appropriate for "Sink or Swim..." :) Or perhaps "Sleepy On Saturday". I'm sure I could think of more...

i can relate to how you're feeling. after having finished a big goal in my education/vocation, i can now see and fully appreciate that i kept pluggin'-on. review why you are doing this and if you believe that it's the right thing to do, then keep pushin through. it does get better; my decision to push through continues to be a blessing each day i wake up. we reap what we sow. yes, i am captain obvious, today. be encouraged and may the Holy Spirit give you energy. it's all about motives. aks yourself, "why am i doing this? what am i trying to achieve in my life? what for?" sometimes, i find that i'm pushing for the wrong reasons/motives. other times, i find that i'm pushing for the right/good/healthy/benficial reasons/motives.

It will be ok, it's hard when we realize that we are not superwoman and we actually do require some downtime and sleep, but let go what you can, know that this is for a short time and that even if you only clean the house and backyard enough to walk through the house til December, nobody will get sick or die. The worst part for me was the guilt of no time, not cleaning enough and fast food compared to prepared. But they live and see strength. See your friends, they are a great source and make time for your relationships at home, that is the most important. Everything else can be fixed later, or paid for....

You guys are cracking me up with the SOS stuff. Seriously, what a creative bunch. My all time Favorite- Send Oakes Soon- I would have to completely agree with that one. We are all in need of an David and Kendra Oakes fix around these parts.
Trista- thank you and I do need to see you soon my friend.
