Hunter

So the Scofields expanded thier family last week. We picked up an orange tabby kitten from the pound in hopes that he might solve our mouse problem. It's not like we needed another mouth to feed or more poop to pick up but mice are not welcome in this house and the only thing that seems to work the best for mouse patrol is a mightymouse killer.
Well, so far he seems a bit more concerned about sleeping and eating his grocery store food than eating up the mice. It has provided for some pretty good entertainment though because when he knows there is something lurking behind the corner his hair stands up and he tucks his tail between his legs and off he goes. SO much for the mightymouse killer we thought MR. HUNTER would be.
In fairness to Hunter he is only a baby still and so he has a few more months to pull his weight around here and do his job. If by the new year he's not patrolling this house with all his might, he will be "fired" !! (Donald Trump style) Not sure how that will change things being the suckers that we are we would never return him, but ya know it added some dramatic effect to my story.

When he's big enough to kill a mouse, don't feed him so much cat food that he's not motivated. :)

Have you tried mousetraps?

yep, and one actually worked the other night but we are limited to certain traps due to lil ones discovering them.

mouse traps work great. And your kid will only set one off once.

I heard all about Hunter last week... But this week Chloe seems to be bored with talking about him already...

Cats are fags. Not to the degree that babies are, but still fags. I think that Satan was allowed to create two things in this world. Those two things: cats & tomatoes.

Oh, you are soooooo wrong.

Cats are the most special animals to God.

Why else would Jesus be the Lion of Judah?

Refer to my post from Nov. 4 for more enlightenment.

Enlightenment is something that I'll never seek out as long as it is something that could have the slightest possiblity of proving me wrong.

First of all, Christians were also fed to lions, so save it. Second of all, I was just speaking out of my irrational hate for cats, then I read an article in Esquire, wherein I discovered that a prominent doctor has found that cats can be one of the main causes for schizophrenia.

Just like we can get mad cow disease from beef and not know it for several years, schizophrenia is caused by cats in the same manner.

So all of you cat lovers don't need to worry about being lonely, as you'll not only have the cats, but also the voices in your head to keep you company.

Sorry about the length, but this is the first time in awhile that I could make an argument using more than my neuroses.

Just as people can become reprobate, so also can felines. Hence, the lions that ate the Christians. However, this was not God's original intent, as the Scriptures say, therefore he gave them over to a reprobate mind. Thus you see, in one scripture, the link between cats and schizophrenia.

Of course, God always provides a way out and has included the family felidae in His redemptive purposes, as it says, The lion shall lay down with the lamb.

Don't you get mad cow disease by eating beef from a cow that had it? I don't know of anyone eating cats...

just simply being around their dander will do it in this case. But I've go no problem with those who think they should eat cats; it's one less demon.

funny thing is david you learn to like just about anything when it serves a purpose such as being the best mouse killer on the planet.
i too share your dislike for cats but even more than that i detest rodents!!! nothing works better than a cat catchin a mouse.
