Blowing off some steam

I am supposed to be writing a 5 to 7 page observation for one of my ECE classes today. I started it yesterday and as I was typing I got completely irritated because I can't even begin to tell you how many of these I have already done and will have to do to get my degree. The only good thing about where I am at right now is that I can make up my observations where as when I get closer to being done with my degree I have to give away many free hours of time to prove I am ready to work with children. Wait...what?? Yes, this is where my frustration came in yesterday. I have been in school( off and on mind you ) since 1993. That's right I graduated high school spring of 93 and that fall I started taking college classes at WNCC(so there Laura another person who survived WNCC). My frustration is that I should have a bazillion degrees by now. They don't give out degrees for being the mother of 4 children or for working at so many preschools, day cares, latch keys, and or sunday schools that you can't even count them on two hands. Nope, no degree for real life experience. They still want your free work and your countless observations to know that you know for the bazillinenth time that you know the difference between a large motor skill and a small one.

Thanks for listening to me rant and rave I am off to go write my paper now.

just make them up.

i would never do that, but you're obviously having problems with doing things the right way.

observations must be the equivalent of careplans in nursing school. I dreaded doing those. my regrets :(

I believe what you're referring to is gross motor vs fine motor...But I get what you're saying.

Also, I would like a degree in Christmas Yard Decor Lightery. Cause my house is cute. I totally hear you friend. Although, when my husband suggested I lie about going to my observations and make stuff up, AND he made fun of me for my morals, I pointed out to him I really enjoy my observations. He pointed out I don't get out of the house much so my expectations are low. lol

diga-i do !! but they are really mostly from real life. as far as the "right" way whatev!!
jess- i know you know
erica- yes i bet they are very similar. thanks
laura- yer welcome, and thanks i feel better now that i am reminded we are paying them.
yes ben and the ONLY reason you would know the other terms for those would be your wifeee. I have been around a while and that's what they called them back in the day. actually they still use both terms but yeah good job you have been listening and learning from the brilliant miss jessica.
shontell-you should also be given a degree in how to do things the "right" way!! in more ways than one. yeah i understand you wanting to get out the house even if it just to observe.

Many things done in pursuit of a degree are time consuming and most are also pointless-- particularly when you are pursuing a degree in some type of education.
I'm just saying...
