Getting the right photo at precisely the right moment

So, today was Christmas photo day at the Scofields. What an event.
After more than a dozen attempts to capture all 4 Scofield kids at just the right moment I resorted to bribes.
I think in this photo I was telling them that I would give them each a candycane. Check out the baby. How does he even know the word "candy" is something to smile about you might ask?? Well, any of you who have had to take a photo with more than one kid at a time would understand my tactics.
The saddest thing of all is that I might not even use these cause we had a great idea for another fun photo that might work out better for the whole family. That didn't stop me from bribing my kids all morning though and putting them through this wonderful Christmas tradition.

Wed. night Dave L. and I were configuring my laptop at the church and we were testing the DVD player. The only thing around was a DVD of Charlie Brown's Christmas, so we put it in. Like answering a Siren's call, from the other room...here came Solomon and Dylan, who both sat down between us and the screen. After making themselves comfortable, Solomon asked, "do you have any candy?"

Dave and I just laughed and joined them for the rest of the cartoon. (we did find some candy also).

I love you blog! It is great to hear about life from the perspective of another Christian mommy.

They look adorable.

And it brought back memories of Christmas excursions to the photographer when Adrian and Julian were little.

I remember one time when Adrian kept making "farting" noises with his mouth, every time the photographer wanted to snap a picture. We have all kinds of outtakes of Adrian with devilish expressions on his face and his hand over his mouth with his cheeks puffed out. The photographer was highly frustrated.

That is such a cute picture... And if Isaiah knows what candy is, I would blame it on his sisters...
