My final English essay for this semester has to be an argument, and in case you haven't already noticed I really don't like to argue nor do I care to write a whole 4 page essay based on an argument. I could so easily hand this over to the giant who should've become a lawyer he is so convincing, but I fear she will not recognize the decisive tone of the paper and also not to mention the fact that would be cheating.
I gave every idea possible to other students who were struggling for ideas on what to argue about and yet when I try to think about what I want to argue about, I Got Nothing!!!
I started to get something about the hot topic of same sex marriages but then it got all muddy and now, now here I sit needing to write a paper but instead choosing to blog because I am once again avoiding an argument.
Oh did I mention that we have to read these in class? That should be argued as cruel and unusual punishment.

MY DREAM IS TO READ MY PAPER IN CLASS! weird how you and I are so different. lol
You should write on all day kindergarten vs. half. ooh or, the importance of preschool for those little cotton headed ninny muggins.
I'm with shontell. I always enjoyed having to read papers in class. You could argue that reading papers in front of a class helps you develop confidence in your writing! :D Ha ha ha! :)
And I couldn't concur more with Shontell and, Jeni. I LOVE speech and debate. But you already know that...One of my favorite classes is the upper division class I teach where Im giving them the skill to debate. But they don't like the words "to argue" 'to debate" so I boiled it down for them and said "OK, when you're having a DISCUSSION about a certain topic..." ha. I think you should do it around something that you love. Shontell's idea is good because you love kids and feel passionate about certain things.....
The death penalty is always a good argument. I, however, am more partial to the argument of pie heaven vs. cake heaven (how can you not choose cake?).
Each time I have had to read a paper in class, I just end up alienating all but 2-4 people. Doesn't matter what the subject is, it just always ends up that way.
so, what did you decide to do for a topic?
i decided to take my good freind shontelly's advice and go with something that not only has to do with my degree but is something a bit less contreversial.
the importance of preschool vs. not going to preschool
