I mean not exactly since I just moved to my current apartment, but I don't work nearly as hard as I should to make things pretty. I do have a welcome mat though.Jenihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01570047100649439383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15299229.post-50350888286841300062012-06-25T17:59:14.220-07:002012-06-25T17:59:14.220-07:00Hi Noel... just to let you know I unplugged this w...Hi Noel... just to let you know I unplugged this weekend too. And yes your door is the first thing people view when they enter your home. However mine looks like all the rest since I live in a gated townhouse development. However I do have a nice hand crafted house number and a few rustic pieces that gives a hint of who is inside.
On a scary note I recently freaked myself out my reading a book where vampires got into a person house because it had a welcome mat.. and me and my paranoid self instantly removed my welcome mat from my door. Ironically it is hard to find a mat nowadays without welcome on it... it is a conspiracy. :)
Hope you have a good week.
JillianJillian Carreirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07096900545493484897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15299229.post-71095520904928276912012-06-25T17:38:51.750-07:002012-06-25T17:38:51.750-07:00I love the flowers in the rain boot! Her house (Dad's childhood home) house my Grandpa when he was a child. Anyway, you guessed it, there was a dinner bell. This bell was used to call everyone in (dinner or not, you were to come if the bell rang).
Just seeing a pic of your dinner bell made me smile too.Kimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06187940973442646552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15299229.post-22326337770759745872012-06-25T14:33:35.655-07:002012-06-25T14:33:35.655-07:00We just resided our house. Mr. Hippie built a porch, and I made a wreath, and actually potted flowers. My front makes me smile now. Not grimace wondering what the neighbors thought.=) It feels welcoming and neat. Now, if I could just get the aggressive climbing rose bush under control.=)Barefoot Hippie Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05120767117286904151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15299229.post-45603706505465326172012-06-25T13:41:14.391-07:002012-06-25T13:41:14.391-07:00I love the idea of a dinner bell too!! It totally reminds me of living in the country and that's where if I was independently wealthy, where I would totally live. I try to change our front door with the seasons. Right now mine says friends and furry friends are welcome. Yep, I'm the crazy animal person and proud of it. lol I hope you're having a wonderful day!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13864275055402577578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15299229.post-49667170337647849832012-06-25T11:49:12.393-07:002012-06-25T11:49:12.393-07:00Yep, me too.
